How to Burn PS3 Games – Software That Works ...

In order to learn how to burn ps3 games we must first explore why a normal disc burning application can’t copy ps3 games.

Game manufacturers encrypt their game discs in a manner that confuse software like Nero and Roxio Toast, resulting in a disc read error.

As such, the art of burning ps3 games has been left to a select few specialised applications.

Please note that in order to burn PS3 games, you must have a Blu-ray burner, alternatively you can rip the games and run them from a hard drive.

Today we will explore two of the best products that will quickly teach you how to burn ps3 games and explain how to play them of other media.

Neither of these products requires any sort of hardware modification on your computer or console.  All software modification required comes with the programs, which have easy step-by-step guides to help you install them.

#1 Software Recommendation: Easy Backup Wizard

Price: $29.95

Download link: http://www.easybackupwizard.com

Easy Backup Wizard is the most efficient and user-friendly program on the market to burn PS3 games.  It worth noting that this program supports all consoles, this includes, PS2, Xbox 360, Wii and many more.

This software has been a favorite of gamers for years now and really does stand above most of the game copy software on the market these days.  It is extremely simple and easy to use and worth every penny as you begin the process of backing up ANY console game with ease.

Key features and advantages of Easy Backup Wizard:

  • Precise 1:1 game copying resulting in no sound or video quality loss
  • Compatible with all major consoles
  • Support for all major DVD drives and manufacturers
  • First class support through the members section of their website
  • Unparalleled ease of use
  • Compatible with both mac and pc

#2 Software Recommendation: Copy Any Game

Price: $29.95

Download link: http://www.copyanygame.com

Copy Any Game came in a very close second. It’s main downfall was the lack of the bonus free download feature.  It is also a very impressive program that if quick and easy to use.  It also can be used for more than just burning PS3 games; it supports all major consoles brands.

It’s support section is not quite as comprehensive as Easy Backup Wizard but it is simple enough to use that you shouldn’t need it anyway.  One advantage it does have is that it claims to also burn Video DVDs, of which, many are often encrypted. We are yet to test this feature but my guess is that both applications would do this with ease.

Key feature and advantage of Copy Any Game:

  • Compatible with all major consoles
  • Supports all major DVD burner manufactures
  • Exact 1:1 copying
  • Video DVD burning capabilities, including making movies from videos you have on your computer

Conclusion:

Both these solutions are great for those wishing to learn how to burn ps3 games and we highly recommend them.  However, we must have a winner and that went to Easy Backup Wizard for its ease of use, support and free game and movie download feature.

Why everyone should backup ALL their PS3 games!

Lets face it, being a legitimate gamer can cost a lot.  Most gamers have spent thousands of dollars purchasing games and often pre-ordering special edition games.  But what happens when your disc becomes damaged or even worse; you lend it to a friend only to never see it again? Most people can no longer justify the cost of purchasing the game a second time, especially if the game is now old, and hence they go without.  If the game that’s damaged or lost is a special edition, it becomes even hard to replace and even more heartbreaking to lose.

Software like the two recommendations above can also be used to burn ps3 games that don’t belong to you. While we certainly don’t condone this behavior, it is perfect legal in a few countries; but it is done at your own risk if you intend on doing this in a country that it is illegal.

You should never play using your original game disks, otherwise your just asking for trouble.  Get started burning ps3 games now and never worry about your games again. Visit: Game Copy Pro Here

Crysis 2: Sucks You In

When Crysis was first released back in November 2007, there wasn’t a PC gamer alive who didn’t adore it for its originality and fast paced gameplay. 2011 saw the release of the second Crysis game, this time on both the PS3 and Xbox 360. Crysis 2 was said to be far greater than its predecessor and set the standards for first person shooting on consoles. Is this really what we got?

Unlike the first game which you went through as a special forces soldier known as Nomad, three years have passed and you now take control of a Force Recon Marine named Alcatraz. When an extraction mission turns upside down, Alcatraz comes into contact with Prophet, a soldier from the first game. Prophet sacrifices his life so that Alcatraz can equip himself with his nanosuit, find the former Crynet employee Nathan Gould and learn how to fight off the alien invasion. It’s a thrilling story that literally has you on the edge of your seat from start to finish!

Set in the concrete jungle of New York City instead of a jungle in the East Philippines, Crysis 2 provides you with plenty of tactical options to take out enemies. Using your nanosuits augmentations you could simply sneak past the enemies using your temporary stealth ability or taking them head on with an array of explosive weapons. Switching to stealth will consume your suits energy, whilst activating your armor will help slightly protect you from incoming fire.
The nanosuit also comes equipped with the ability to scan your environment from a distance and plan your battle strategy. This is especially handy when you’re up against an area packed full of enemies and no real way of winning.

Each alien enemy you kill will supply you with experience points which can then be exchanged for other fantastic abilities, such as silent footsteps or putting traces on bullets. The nanosuit opens up a whole world of possibilities and sets the game apart from other first person shooters out there by adding a nice little RPG touch to it.

Excellent Features:

Overall the gameplay is a unique blend of everything other first person shooters lack and although the battlefields aren’t quite as big as what you were probably used to in the first Crysis game, they are simply stunning to look at and still manage to offer quite a bit of maneuverability.

It goes without saying that Crysis 2 is definitely the best looking first person shooter anyone will have ever played to date. The graphics are both crisp and smooth with virtually no glitches whatsoever. The textured environment is absolutely stunning and can sometimes be a little distracting at how real it all looks. Nothing really beats a full scale battle with the very city you’re fighting in crumbling before you in an impressive way.

The music in this game is absolutely outstanding and so it should be seeing as it is composed by the legendary Hans Zimmer! The soundtrack helps bring out emotion whilst you’re playing the game, but what’s really impressive is the voice acting. There isn’t one characters voice that lets Crysis 2 down and each scenario feels just as cinematic as the next – definitely a change from over-dramatic FPS voice acting.

What we didn’t like:

The only thing that lets Crysis 2 down is its artificial intelligence. All too often an enemy will simply hover in one place or shoot at absolutely nothing. Whilst this can occasionally work to your advantage when playing the game on its hardest difficulty, it does distract you from an otherwise realistic game.

The Verdict:

There is no denying that Crysis 2 is one of the most immersive games of 2011 and easily sucks you in with its flawless visuals, compelling story and brilliant soundtrack. It escapes the conventional FPS games such as Call of Duty and Battlefield and adds a fantastic sci-fi element to an otherwise over-done genre. The nanosuit allows for flexibility and will easily keep you playing over and over again. Overall, Crysis 2 is a masterpiece and if you’ve not yet played it then you’re certainly missing out.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Game of The Year

You’ll be hard pressed to find a video gamer that doesn’t have some sort of love for the Metal Gear Solid franchise. Created by the genius that is Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear Solid is renowned for its powerful story, impressive gameplay and remarkable voice acting. Metal Gear Solid 2 left us on a little bit of a cliffhanger, Metal Gear Solid 3 was set during the days of Big Boss, so did Metal Gear Solid 4 live up to our expectations?

The Story Goes…

Metal Gear Solid 4 takes place five years after Sons of Liberty and our beloved hero Solid Snake isn’t in tip top condition. He’s aged rapidly due to the cell deterioration from the cloning process that created him and his brothers. Good old Colonel Campbell informs Snake of Liquid Ocelot’s plan to hijack the Sons of the Patriots system and offers him one last chance to settle the score with him. Of course, how could Snake refuse? Snake is then dropped into a huge war taking place within the Middle East where Liquid Ocelot is apparently lurking. Sure, it’s Metal Gear Solid so there is of course a lot more to the story than the background I’ve just given you, but the slightest spoiler could ruin the whole game for you – and you don’t want that. Believe me when I say that the story is absolutely phenomenal and is nothing less than what you’d expect from the franchise.

Hard Core Gaming:

Just when you think gameplay really couldn’t get any better in the series, Kojima always manages to find a way! From implementing a new camouflage system that allows you to blend into the environment by using the OctoCam suit, to being able to purchase instantly useable weapons from an arms dealer known as Drebin, there are plenty of new features that make the game even more exciting! Even the abolishment of the overhead camera has proved to be successful! You can even customize weapons by purchasing add-ons such as laser scopes, grenade launchers or suppressors – this definitely beats searching throughout the game for a specific weapon as we did in previous titles.

Metal Gear Solid has always been renowned for being predominantly stealth based and Metal Gear Solid 4 is no different. However, with that being said, you can also opt to go through the game letting your trigger finger do all the work as it also makes an awesome third person shooter. The choice is yours but there will always be moments where stealth or shooting is required in order to progress.
Of course the game also features familiar elements such as hiding in boxes, crawling in vents and talking through Codec, but it’s the slight changes which really allow the game to be an unrivaled masterpiece.

As if the game wasn’t awesome enough already, it also comes equipped with a starter pack for Metal Gear Online which allows up to 16 friends to battle it out in an all-out tactical fight. This fantastic multiplayer will give you the opportunity to customize your own character, fight in team death matches and play through some brilliant sneaking missions.

Some of the best graphics of all time...

Amazing Detail:

Metal Gear Solid 4 has some of the most detailed texture work that’s ever been seen in a video game. From the indentations in Solid Snakes armor, to even dust particles that hit the camera after an explosion, the game is chockablock full of gorgeous visuals to immerse you into what feels like a movie. You’ll rarely come across any graphical glitches and the coloring is absolutely stupendous.

Once again Harry Gregson-Williams did a remarkable job of providing the game with a score that will be remembered throughout history. Metal Gear Solid has always had an absolutely astounding soundtrack and this is no different from the rest. Music to get you pumped, music to make you feel sad, and music to hum along to!
Thankfully David Hayter returned to do the voice of Solid Snake and by jove it’s as gruff as ever. Like all Metal Gears, the voice acting is fantastic and flawless in every shape and form, from the more recognized characters like Snake, Raiden and Meryl, to even lowly PMC’s.

There is a reason this game won Game of the Year, sold 5 million copies worldwide and received various reviews claiming it to be “flawless” – simply because it is. I challenge you to play Metal Gear Solid 4 and find a single fault with it.

You Need to Get This Game: Metal Gear Solid 4 is reason enough to buy a PS3. Did it live up to expectations? Definitely! It’s one of the greatest games ever to be released and has some of the most stunning graphics you’ll ever see! Cut-scenes are quite lengthy, but then haven’t they always been? If you were a big fan of previous Metal Gear titles then you’ll no doubt love this!

Dead Rising 2 – For Zombie Lovers

It goes without saying that we all love a good old fashioned zombie apocalypse. Whether it’s a movie, a video game or even a television series, there is nothing quite like watching some of the undead being hacked and slashed in several different ways. Of course when it came to zombie exterminating methods, nothing came close to Dead Rising. A game which turned a genre that was supposed to scare the living daylights out of us (no pun intended!) into a horror comedy that has you in stitches throughout its entirety! Recently Dead Rising 2 was released upon the world, but the question is, was it any better than the first?

The game takes place five years after its predecessor and our hero of the game, Chuck Greene, has been pinned as the reason the whole zombie apocalypse started. Stuck smack bang in the middle of an outbreak, Chuck must clear his name before the military take action. Of course things aren’t as simple as they sound and Chuck has to deal with the fact that his own daughter is infected and must save her before she becomes a fully fledged zombie. With six possible endings to obtain as well as a serious story to keep on edge, you’ll easily find yourself playing this game over and over again.

Get Into It:

Imagine a game that rewards you for inventively killing zombies, whether it’s by stabbing enemies with a swordfish whilst wearing a Borat mankini, or wielding a lawnmower to slice and dice those undead fiends. Now imagine no more because Dead Rising 2 allows endless possibilities to kill zombies and earn experience points to level your character up and make him hard as nails.

Much like the original, your missions are only active for a certain amount of time and your weapons can become damaged after fairly long periods of time. Of course the new weapons, items and enthralling story means it’s not all the same and you can now have up to 7000 zombies onscreen at any one time! One major new feature which turned the game from good to brilliant is the implementation of ‘combo cards’. These cards allow you to combine the items you’ve been using as weapons, into super weapons that last longer, do more damage and earn a whole lot more experience points.

Whilst the game is flooded with side quests, you can just choose to ignore them and primarily use the game as some sort of fun experiment. The story is made into one big joke since you can wear pretty much any item of clothing you can get your mitts on. Just imagine having a heartfelt one to one with your daughter whilst wearing nothing but a hockey mask and fishnets.

Nitty Gritty:

A neat little addition to the game is multiplayer! You can either go through the game co-operatively trying to eliminate as many zombies as possible whilst rescuing survivors, or tackle Competitive Modes Gladiator inspired events.  Unfortunately Competitive Mode can feel a little uninspired and controls are down right annoying at times. The only real perk to Competitive Mode is that you can carry over the money you earn to the Single Player game.

The visuals are much tidier than the previous title and although there are a few frame rate glitches here and there, it’s forgiven due to the sheer fun you can have with this game. Character modeling isn’t exactly state of the art and pushing the PS3’s limits, but they’re good enough to keep you enthralled throughout the touching story between Chuck and his daughter.

The voice acting can be a little cheesy at times, but that’s pretty much to be expected from a horror-comedy such as Dead Rising. The soundtrack on the other hand, is absolutely brilliant and ranges from Nu Metal to strange electronic music and you’ll never really get bored of it.

Unfortunately Capcom Games Vancouver didn’t learn that not being able to set a waypoint on your map is an absolute nightmare at times and you’re forced to learn the ins and outs of the mall. The incredibly boring loading screens can also become quite frustrating as you encounter one near enough everytime you enter a new area! Aside from these teeny-tiny flaws, the game is brilliant.

The End Result:

Dead Rising 2 is an incredibly fun game that allows your imagination to run away with you. If you are one of those who likes to burn ps3 games, maybe you should actually pay for this one. Sure, there are a few little issues that could do with being ironed out, but for the most part it’s a fantastic little game that provides you with enough different endings to keep you occupied for weeks! If you can’t get enough of zombie invasions and you’re looking for an enjoyable game that won’t grate on you after five minutes, then Dead Rising 2 is just what the doctor ordered.

The Top 5 PS3 Accessories

As I am sure you are aware, there are literally dozens of PS3 accessories out there which all proclaim to fulfill our gaming needs. Sure, there are lots of awesome PS3 accessories available, but are they really all necessary? Keep reading to find out which are the best of the best;

PS3 Wireless keypad:

Unfortunately the PS3’s on-screen keyboard is an absolute nightmare to use. Not only is instant messaging a lot more hassle to use, but registering details online takes forever! Luckily, Sony invented a qwerty keyboard which simply just slots into your control pad and makes life a whole lot easier! Of course as the name suggests, the PS3 keypad is wireless and even has a built in touchpad to use as a mouse. The keypad has a built in battery which is recharged with a USB connection.  So if you are constantly surfing the web using Playstation’s Network, or you’re always chatting to your friends, then you should really make life easier for yourself and get the wireless keypad!

Sony Wireless Headset:

Online gaming is fun, but it’s even better with a headset that allows you to communicate effectively with all of your buddies! As it is wireless you also don’t have to worry about pesky wires getting in your way or coming loose at the wrong moment. There is also volume control and the option to mute. Overall it’s pretty much a must-have device for any online gamer!

Sony Blu-Ray Disc Remote Control:

Sure, you could use your control pad to watch your Blu-Ray movies, but this remote control makes things ten times easier. Non gamers can easily use the remote to navigate between all types of media such as music, photos and of course movies, whilst gamers can use it to pause in-game cut-scenes. It’s not an absolutely essential accessory but it’s fantastic to have if other members of your family like to use your console too.

Controller Dual Charging Dock:

Not only does this brilliant device give you a neat and tidy place to store your controllers, but it will also charge them up so long as the PS3 is switched on. This is done simply by connecting the dual charging dock into the USB port of your PS3. This is great because it allows two controllers to be charged up using a single USB port, ultimately allowing you to use the other USB port for other great things.

Mad Catz Official Street Fighter IV Arcade Fight Stick:

If you’re an avid fighting gamer then you’ll love this arcade stick! In just ten minutes you’ll be whipping out Ex-Dash cancel combos like nobodies business. The arcade stick is also extremely responsive and performing charge moves feels literally ten times easier than using a joypad. Much like any arcade stick, it is made up of 8 buttons and 1 stick. It’s a little hard to get used to if you’re used to using a joypad, but once you’ve got the hang of it you will never look back! Of course the Mad Catz Official Street Fighter IV Arcade Fight Stick can be quite hard to come by these days so I would also recommend the Hori Fighting Stick 2. It might not be quite as awesome, but it is certainly better than using the PS3 joypad!
